  1. How did Slash call him when he paid a (unsuccesful) visit to Axl back in 2006? "Spineless", I presume?
  2. Like, seriously? Never heard or read about his appreciation for Izzy, Slash, Axl or even Steven? Really? Don't get me wrong, I am not saying he's a supernice guy or a walk in a park kind of person, I am just saying you're massively exaggerating.
  3. That's nonsense. He never acted that way. This could be very true, at least I heard something very similar some 20 years ago - from Slash's publicist at the time (we were in touch because of an interview).
  4. Ronnie James Dio. Do you remember the guy? Or Glenn Hughes.
  5. Rod was/is a great singer. Slash was not happy about the band though.
  6. Interesting. I like them both but to me Dark Days is - along with Neurotic Outsiders - the greatest Duff's solo output of all. Also Beautiful Disease is very cool record, especially Who's to Blame. Oh wait, and Walking Papers and Leevee Walkers... The motherfucker puto out more stuff than Izzy! :-D
  7. Some great singing there + songs like Crestfallen or Forgotten Cases and especially Fragile Water are surprisingly good with some strange but interesting flavor of American musical on the top of it. Enjoyed it much more than Gilby's or Duff's last solo efforts. But as for the best solo effort - Izzy Stradlin and the Ju Ju Hounds. Period.
  8. Probably wouldn't, Izzy became pretty lazy when it comes to rehearsal etc., Richard is a far more reliable player (let alone his technical skills). But in the studio... Well, that would be a completely different question. If Izzy would join the rest of the guys in the studio, my expectations would be doubled.
  9. Bully or the guy who took the responsibility, some sort of father figure. Depends on the point of view.
  10. Absolutely true but remember GN'R have a totally amateurish management, so...
  11. That has changed after the reunion financial negotiations. Just a speculation, though.
  12. I'm pretty sure Slash is very unhappy about the situation. Both 4tus and Nuno (in his second statement) acted like weirdos.
  13. “I told her, ‘Hey, if you ever need me to put some guitar on something, just let me know and I'll do it!’ And so she hit me back about two weeks, three weeks later, and said she's got this song that she's doing a remake of and asked if I'd put some guitar on that. [Guns N’ Roses] did a show in Norway and I had a day off, so I found a cool engineer and studio in Norway and just put the guitars on there. It's amazing how fast it came out.” Well, I guess Lovato figured out how to release records nowadays.
  14. Yeah but remember his later comments where he repeatedly insisted Izzy was the only guitar player he really meshed with (along with Dave Kushner). When it comes to Iz, Slash has his ups and downs but the negative comments were usually related to his disappointment on a personal level (Izzy leaving the band in a bad way etc.).
