Listen to some samples at that the amazon link. The myspace link has 2 full songs. Sixx is an excellent lyricist, Motley Crue would have been nothing without him. *ParadiseCityGirl* Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 I heard one song on the Eddie Trunk show last week....it was aright..not bad!I'm more excited for the actual book though! Each of the songs on the album correspond to each chapter of the book...that's pretty cool Quote
UYIllusion Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Sixx is an excellent lyricist, Motley Crue would have been nothing without him. While I agree that Crue would have been nothing without him, I would hardly call him an excellent lyricist. Quote
neatd99 Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 I didn't mean his lyrics were deep or anything like that.......they just sound good. He's a good pop lyricist in the sense that he can write very catchy songs that have a fun or an interesting subject matter. Quote
ohmygod Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 fuck that, sixx is a fucking amazing rock n roll musician and lyricist. many here might disagree, but im sure millions would disagree with you guys, and with the huge amount of success he's reached from both underground rock n rollers and the mainstream, its hard to argue.i remember i had a class on rock n roll history in college and everybody had to talk about a song and play it for the class, i remember everybody played really safe song choices that were "cool" and "hip," (like rem and radiohead) and i talked about motley crue's knock em dead. the looks on all these dweebs faces were mortified, it was like they just saw somebody punch a newborn kitten. funny thing is the only other person who was into it was the professor who was like in his early 60's. its so funny and lame how politically correct rock n roll has gotten amongst my peers in their 20's and teenagers, people need to lighten the fuck up.
