gunsnrosesrocon Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Whisch band is better? Both formed in the 80's so I want to know which band you think is better and has better lyrics. It's pretty close in my opinion, but I think GNR wins. The lyrics are just so inspiring and touching, Def leppard has a few good ones, but not near as many as GNR. But I want to know what you think?! Gnfnrhead Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Who likes Guns N' Roses on this site? No-one. Thats who. Quote
Lithium Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 this should be in dont damn meIt should be in 'My World'.On topic: GN'R, no contest at all.Oh, and by the way - Def Leppard was formed in the late '70s; '78 I think, not the 80s. Quote
Takeshi Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 The difference between def leppard and GN'R doesn't have anything to do with music. They both had a drummer who couldn't play for different reasons. Def leppard took the high road and waited for him to get better because not only was he their drummer, he was their friend. GN'R said "screw you" to adler and took away the only thing that could have made him get clean, and his childhood friend slash in particular dropped him and walked away. AFD may be a slightly better album than pyromania and hysteria, but def leppard have something that I doubt that GN'R will ever have. Class. Quote

luciusfunk Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 This reminds me of a joke one of my teachers told me a few years ago."What has five arms and sucks?""Def Leppard" Quote

Paula McKagan Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 it's like if i asked "who do you like more: gnr or edguy?"..it's a gnr forum, pretty obvious eh Quote

And I'd argue that musically, Pyromania and Hysteria are better than AFD. The Illusions records are untouchable as that style goes, but AFD just isn't all it's cracked up to be, IMO. Quote
illusions Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 well at this day I would say def lep, I don't even like gnr anymore. Quote
highvoltage Posted August 12, 2007 Posted August 12, 2007 Seeing as I really don't like Def Leppard at all, this isn't really a contest for me. Quote

Class. But if the band stuck with adler, they wouldn't have been able to release illusions. And that album would have been important to prevent the band from being a one album wonder. It was the best thing to do in a business perspective. Def leppard had already relesed 3 albums by the time rick allen had that accident. Quote
