Do NOT post HJT logs in this forum, I got in trouble before for trying to help someone, lol/ Pm me a log if you wish I will solve the issue for you, just send me a pm with the copy and pasted Complete log. Do not attempt repair without my advice, playing with things can cause even more problems...

Before you do that however give me the names of the pop-up blockers you are using, and are they up to date?

Use Firefox, solved.

Probably, they're conflicting. Just use Firefox.

If you want to wait 20 minutes for a page to load then by all means use Firefox.

:drevil::unsure: is possible that you dont know how to use it?

Firefox FTW.

I did try it. And not just for a couple of minutes. I used it for a few days and it was by far the worst i ever tried.

Did you ever try tweaking it? Firefox is alot (and I mean alot) faster after a few rendering and pipeline tweaks. I urge you to try it again after following some about:config guides.

However, recommending Firefox is not a solution at all. The guy probably has adware on his system doing the job. IE7 does an okay job of blocking popups on its own.

HijackThis logs are okay, but if its a well designed piece of adware then It'll just keep coming back - regardless of whether you delete it from HJT or not.

The best solution - the one I always use: Download Ad-Aware SE 1.6 (not the new shitty crappy slow 2007 edition) and get the trial version of Eset NOD32. Install both and update them both with the latest definitions and signatures. Do full scans with them both and remove anything they find. If no success then post your HijackThis log and we will tell you what needs to go. Some pieces of adware need specific removal methods because they bury themselves quite well in the system. It is advisable to run the adware/virus scans in safe mode too.

You didn't get into trouble - I just questioned whether you knew what you were talking about or not for the very reasons you've stated above.

I know bud I was jsut busting your balls :) I do know what to do though, just so you guys know... and I agree alot of adware cannot be deleted forever with simple HJT however based on the log I can show you manual steps to resolve the issue for good!

Gunsguy you should talk to madison or admin and have some of your getting rid of spyware/adware ideas pinned So people don;t have to ask questions all the time. :)

Heres a very good advice:

if you use Firefox, download NoScript and Adblock Plus, no more pop-ups or scripts installing stuff without your knowledge. They are both fully configurable.

Heres another one:

Change to Linux, Ubuntu for those coming from windows. Its a has more security and its a reliable system. You can even play games in Linux.

Check Cedega by TransGamming. It supports a lot of games http://games.cedega.com/gamesdb/ .

Eye candy stuff for Linux for those who say that its ugly:
