how can Skid Row have so many votes?

Because you're on a forum for an '80s hard rock band.

It's sad, because I always liked GN'R due to the fact that it seemed to be the complete opposite of horrible bands like Skid Row, but apparently some people just like Appetite because it rocks hard - and that's it. Unfortunate, really.

So.....you like Appetite because you don't think it rocks...?

Read closely, Chris.

because it rocks hard - and that's it.

There's more to Appetite than just great rock music.

I did read closely....... But you actually say that people who like hair metal can't like AFD as much as people who don't like hair metal?

I bet everyone knows how much I dig hair metal. But GN'R is my fav band, and I love how they broke out of that mainstream scene

Nevermind, the other albums can't hold a candle to it.

Vuglar Display Of Power, shits all over it, in my opinion. But again, this poll is all based on opinion.

It's my favorite Pantera album, but it still doesn't have the innovation, energy and perfect production of Nevermind.

Mudhoney were the innovators IMO. Nirvana just combined influences and perfected what many other bands were doing at the time.

I don't see anything worthwhile on there

where are bands that matter

I know King Diamond was ehhhhhhh in the 90s

but come on wheres "Death"

oh and

Rust in Peace (1990)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Countdown to Extinction (its just the "Black Album" for Megadeth)

i.e. the crummy pop metal album

No. I'm saying they like GN'R for different reasons.

It's subtle and they took me like, 3 years to find [and I'm art rock-pretentious, too] :

- Duff's background vocals in most songs. It's this delicate falsetto . . . it could be Mr. Rose.

- Bongos in right channel of "Mr. Brownstone".

Then the fun :

- Surf drum intro for "It's So Easy".

- The music feels alive. So alive.

- "Nightrain" solos.

- Well, all the solos, really.

- The bipolar psychosis of "It's So Easy".

- Drums. Especially in "Out Ta Get Me".

- The absurdity of bar rock being melded into a Queen-like, schizophrenic structure

- Slash's acoustic chorus in "Think About You".

Oh man, this one was tough!

I was gonna vote for Vulgar Display, but then I realized the poll was for "Best Album" not "Personal Taste" .

Anyways I voted for Nirvana's Nevermind CD. This is the album that truly defined Nirvana and made them famous. Hell, it even changed rock music.

Why you didn't include success albums like Bon Jovi's Keep The Faith?

Because they both suck major ass.

come on,Bon Jovi starting to add a lot of The Boss'es influence in their music plus a touch of adult contemporary, even making a GNR style 9 minute epic (Dry Country).Whats not to like. Its not as fun as their 80's albums were, but still a good album.

I'd say they did a lot more for metal than they did for rock music.

nirvana did a lot more for punk then they did for rock or alternative.
