So, I had a discussion wheter the billy Idol or the Doro Pesch one is better. I thought this could only be settled in a new episode of Covers vs. Originals. B) I included the murderdolls, too, because they covered this song, too.

for me, the German metal Queen Doro Pesch (singer of Warlock) wins. Her version blows the others away. There's another version form here, which I prefer more, but it's not on youtube. The murderdolls and Billy Idol are on the same level.

Yes, but the thread question is not: "Which was the first?", it's which is the best and therefore it doesn't mean that Idol's version must be the best.

I like Billy's version and the Murderdolls version the same. Just depends what i'm in the mood for really. I think Billy's awesome and enjoy listening to him just because it's him If i'm in the mood for a heavier version of his song, then i'll listen to the Murderdolls version.
