SunnyDRE
New Year's Day by U2....is the best rock song ever. Even non-U2 fans love it.Obviously I love the song (as I started the thread), but seriously can you think of one person you know that doesn't like it. Any takers? Streetchild
Not the greatest ever, but it's a really great song.

appetite4illusions
It's a good tune but far from the best rock song. I don't even consider U2 a traditional rock band, they've got their own thing going on.
Kaleigh
Not the best song in the world, but seeing as I'm not even really a U2 fan and I love the song says something.

Lithium
No. You can't just declare a song as the best rock song ever made just because it's your favourite at the moment.
Gallagher Rose
Very good song, but the greatest is "Estranged"

SunnyDRE
No. You can't just declare a song as the best rock song ever made just because it's your favourite at the moment. Not my "favorite at the moment,: but just a damn good song. Like I said can you name or know a person who doesn't like it?
moreblack
How many people can you count that would say it's their favorite song ever?
Turn_It_Up
Probably my fav U2 song, but not the best ever.In every great bands catalog there is 1 or 2 tunes, usually from an early album, that defined their greatness. NYD definitely one of those standouts for U2... Edited November 12, 2007 by Turn_It_Up
P.A. Guns
Yeah it's a good song, but not the best rock song, nope.
