UseYourAppetite Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Any fans of Queens Of The Stone Age's newest album Era Vulgaris? Most people seem to have been counting them out ever since the departure of Nick Oliveri but I picked this up yesterday and it's one of the best albums I've heard this year. Favourite songs at the moment would be Make It wit Chu, Battery Acid, 3's & 7's and Sick, Sick, Sick. Not really a bad track on the album. Quite simply I love it. Quote
ScottRose Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 I agree, I love the album. I really loved Lullabies, too, as one of the few. Era Vulgaris is definitely on my top 10 album list this year. I'm pretty much with you with regards to best songs. Plus it has a great coverart. Quote
Dead Flower Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Album of the year. "Sidewalks, feel me strut so good" Quote
wasted Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 I never got this one. Lulabies was good but I guessed they ejected The Blood is Love desert rock sound for more pop structure. Is that so? Or is there that stuff on EV?I really think the peaked with Songs for the Deaf. Quote
DCGNR Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 It's a good album. I like the band and most of their stuff , but I think they're a little over-rated, to be honest.Sounding "different" doesn't always mean you've got musical genius' in your midstGood band, but a lot of their die-hard fans make them out to be the next coming - and I don't agree Quote
Zeppelin Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 One of the best albums of the year. Better than Songs for the Deaf too. I love that album, but EV just beats it. Quote
