Midnight Rambler
I really really liked this record when it first came out, i havent listened to it for a while though, i got sick of it quite quickly but i did hammer it when i first got it. Might actually give it a listen right now.
wasted
I just got it so I'm all over it.Something about the live sound of it seems that it will always sound great. What is The Solutionists all about, theres a quote on the back."There is a party up there."Then there's that Touch me babe Doors song reference then it segues into a very Doors sort of song. Its the first record I've been air guitar playing to for ages.Trax 11. Trip hop bliss out Doors - it sounds like Jim for real. This album oozes class.Ephemeral yet imperial. Better than Zepp. It has strings and hip hop beats. Its genius.I just pressed play again. Fuck me its so good. Heading into the spirit of sun/Meet you where the breaks through.Love radiations!!! stevGNR666
saw them live back in june (i think?) in a club in NYC.pretty good show although I don't think perry was retrospective enough. he could have drawn from so much of his past material but didn't...he only did three janes songs...though I can't really blame him for not wanting to look back on that part of his life it would have made for a much more gratifying show. Heading into the spirit of sun/Meet you where the breaks through.Love radiations!!!The last song is Jim for real. It is one of his last known vocal recordings and the surviving members of the Doors allowed Perry to use it to new music. I like the album---nothing brilliant but probably Perry's best since Janes broke up. My fav post Janes album is the self titled album Deconstruction. A brillant album by the 3 surviving members (Dave, Eric, and Stephen) minus Perry. It came out shortly after Janes broke up and I think is out of print---
BassLikeHot
I like half the album, the same ratio as that album with "Just Because" on it. By Jane's Affliction? Is that right? Oh, & I love the dog-barking song too!
JDRM
I think they were the band that opened for VR when i went to see them?Didnt think much of them. The singer kept drinking a bottle of wine on stage, and throwing it over the front row -including me-
wasted
I liked Porno for Oyros. We'll make great Pets.I like Ultra P more than Strays. Strays was like Aerosmith's Pump. Just Because just so hard it hard no like everything else on it. Superhero is on Entourage. So I think that album was successful in keep Jane's alive. I saw them live in Leeds, Perry was smashed and Navarro was soloing on top of an amp for like 10 minutes. It's really Jim, this album is so interesting. Some songs sound like house music.
