I actually listened to some Jazz today it was on the radio.

It was all instrumental but really cool mellow stuff.

Any suggestions to get started?

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue, Sketches of Spain, Bitches Brew, Birth of the Cool, Milestones, In a Silent Way and Steamin'

John Coltrane - A Love Supreme, Blue Train and Giant Steps

Those are good place to start. ;)

Lithium,

You would take Coltrane over "Bird" (Charlie Parker)?

I say if some wants to start out, go with Bird. I don't think even Coltrane touched him.......and I think Coltrane is a genius.

I wouldn't know, I'm not familiar with Charlie Parker's works yet - I recently got into jazz myself, and I figured the two most well-known artists would be a good place to start; at least it was for me.

1. Nirvana - Nevermind

:shades:

Ha, I knew you'd like that. :P Don't care if someone doesn't like the band or the album, but they can't deny how influential that album is.

Queens Of The Stone Age - Era Vulgaris

Wow, really? Over Songs for the Deaf? imo, none of their albums has topped SftD.
