SunnyDRE Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Solid; But was lacking something.....maybe energy.I wish he had spent more time on his "Big Hits" than say "American Girl" and "Won't Back Down." Quote
Black Sabbath Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Really good performance I think.Really enjoyed it. Quote

I saw him about a year and a half ago and it was a very exciting show. Quote
appetite4illusions Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 (edited) I've seen Petty live three times and he's pretty consistant. Edited February 4, 2008 by appetite4illusions Quote
ronaldo9 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 One of my favorite halftime shows I've seen. I thought it was a great performance. Quote
Appetite 4 Axl Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 It was great! I love Tom Petty. One of my favorite half time performances... Quote
Spuffy78 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Beat the shit out of Aerosmith, Spears, and NYSNC. Aerosmith would've fine on their own. Quote
GnRmaniac Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 How sweet wouldn't have been if Axl came out during Free Fallin' again. Quote
Death Star Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 Tom Petty kicks ass but who in ere would love to see a ZZ Top halftime show? Quote
DirtyDeeds Posted February 4, 2008 Author Posted February 4, 2008 Tom Petty kicks ass but who in ere would love to see a ZZ Top halftime show?If I'm not mistaken that happened somewhere around 7-10 years ago. Quote

I was just thinkin' "The Lil' Ol Band From Texas" have their own show without guests! Quote
stevGNR666 Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 It was kind of really lacking energy.sorry I really don't like tom petty... Quote
AxlsAngel Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I enjoyed it. Good performance & great songs! Quote
UseYourAppetite Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 For those who haven't seen it...That's missing American Girl though. Was a pretty cool perofmrance in my opinion, low on energy though. Quote
Chris Axl Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 MAYBE THATS THE CHINESE DEMOCRACY SIGN!?!?!?!?!?THink about it, Axl have performed with Tom Petty!!!!!It ALL makes sence!! Quote
LCG Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I liked it, but yeah, the performance did lack energy. Quote
Cornell Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 It was good. I thought it was interesting that he picked 2 songs of his without the heartbreakers. Quote
Patience 4 Axl Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I almost fell into a coma watching his performance last night. Lacking energy? I think he was lacking a pulse too. I hated it. Quote
JONEZY Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 It was average, safe. Thanks to Justin and Janet, the NFL won't allow anything controversial. I wish Beavis and Butthead were still on. They had a show during half-time in the early 1990's on MTV while the SuperBowl halftime did their thing. Quote
bax Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 I thought it was great. Mike Cambell is a much better guitar player than I ever realized. As far as lacking energy-what do you guys want, fucking dancing and shit? Give him a break-he's a middle-aged man that has written some timeless songs. Not to compare the two, but has anyone ever seen Dylan live? The man scarcely moves. Quote
