Max™
To access files on the other PC, you need to do Start > Runand type in: \\computername\With computername being the name of the computer you want to access, obviously. That will display all the shared folders on the PC. FunkyMonk
I've got a wireless network set up (2 Laptops and a desktop), but it's totally unsecure and I think someones been stealing my internet for a long long time. How do I secure it? I looked it up but it was all too complicated for me...
Raw Power
What kind of wireless router do you have?
FunkyMonk
Well if the router is the grey thing with the aerial sticking out of it then it's a Belkin.
Raw Power
WPA-PSK (no server) is typically used for a Home Network. 1. From the “Security Mode” drop-down menu, select “WPA-PSK (no server)”. 2. For Encryption Technique, select “TKIP” or “AES”. This setting will have to be identical on the clients that you set up. 3. Enter your pre-shared key. This can be from 8 to 63 characters and can be letters, numbers, or symbols or spaces. This same key must be used on all of the clients that you set up. For example, your PSK might be something like: “Smith family network key”. 4. Click “Apply Changes” to finish. You must now set all clients to match these settings.Edit: You do know how to get into the router-settings, right?
