darkstar_legend
get neon ballroom. probably their best album apart from frogstomp which is a bit heavier but if you don't mind that than it's pretty good too.or young modern if you're gay. Ant
I saw Silverchair in concert in like 1995.... and man did they wish they were Nirvana... that was during the Frogstomp era though... I guess they changed their sound a lot on later albums. That said, despite their somewhat derivative nature, they're way better than bands like Bush that came out around the same time with a similar sound. *ParadiseCityGirl*
Check out some real grunge instead.I DONT GIVE 2 SHITS ABOUT TITLES.I just listen to what I like...and I probably listen to enough Alice In Chains and Nirvana to make a pop-star throw up, thank you. betterman
Silverchair have grown better with each albumTheir latest two, Diorama and Young Modern is their best work, pure genious!Young Modern may be a bit poppish for hard rockers/old grungers, but they do it with a alternative twist and with such wonderful melodies, its without a doubt last years BIG album!Check out the song Those thieving birds/Strange behaviour - one of the best songs ever made! ThinkAboutYou
Silverchair's first three albums when they thought they were Nirvana are a million times better than Young Modern where Daniel Johns thinks he is some kind of second coming of the Beatles/Brian Wilson and comes off as a completely prententious try-hard art rock wanker.spot on couldn't agree more
toocool
heard of them, never got a chance to listen to them. Maybe I'll give em a chance.
