Also, its a hassle to keep making backups.But still think CDs are going to be dead in around 4 years time or so.And buy Creative MP3!! KBear Posted March 11, 2008 Share Posted March 11, 2008 I posted this elsewhere, but it fits here too.The future of hifi is music servers (eg. http://qsonix.com/ and http://www.sooloos.com/www/home.html) as a couple of examples, and high res downloads from sites like MusicGiants. Websites should offer high res downloads that are even better sound quality than CD, because instead of being limited by one kind of format a download can be in any format. Cover art will be printable and bigger than anything you'd get in a CD case.The Future of HiFiYes, it's going to suck not to be able to go down to the record store and pick up a brand new CD or vinyl, but hopefully downloads become so good that it won't suck too much.
