Gram Parsons
The knifedrama took place backstage at a Marilyn Manson concert in LA.The Gallagher brothers were, according to sorces, chugging Absinth when the night took a turn for the strange.Suddenly Jeff Conaway, former Grease star, entered the room. In a wheelchair.According to Noel Gallagher, Conaway was furious for an unidsclosed reason, and tried to land hits on Noel and Liam with a cain. This made the brothers burst out in laughter. Conaway said that "You should know that I've had back surgery four times"Noel replied "then get out of the wheelchair".Coneway continued "I may have had back surgery four times, but I can still pull a knife on you!"Suddenly pulling out a Giant (according to Noel) knife, which just made the Gallaghers laugh even harder. Randy Lahey
Noel and Liam are fucking hilarious. I read they were calling that guy by his name in Grease, and making fun of him.

Randy Lahey
Noel is the funniest guy in rock. It's too bad Axl doesn't have somebody like Noel to keep things in perspective for him. Here is some funny Noel moments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB9w4CxCXOU&NR=

Here is some funny Noel moments. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eB9w4CxCXOU&NR=1God, no!Noel and his retarded brother are both thick retards from Manchester.Thank you. They've made some great singles and a couple albums that were good (their first two), but they started trying too hard, and their gimmick is tiresome. Excuse my English (literally) but they're what Brits refer to as "cunts" (people say this in America too but it's taken a bit more literally and more offensively). I'd call them assholes but it doesn't quite have the same ring to it. I do like a good deal of what they put out early on, and they're the perfect type of band for a Greatest Hits collection like they recently put out, but their behavior is part of the reason they never really caught on overseas. Randy Lahey
Noel and Liam are no worse behaved than Axl. If Oasis was an American band they would be huge in the US. In fact, they are huge everywhere in the world other than the United States. Nothing they've put out since Morning Glory has come close to touching it, but so what, most bands never come close to putting out an album that good. He wouldn't mock someone in a wheelchair and take pride in it. Look, I'll be the first to criticize Axl's behavior, but he's far more of an isolated prick than an external one. He has moments of personal delusion like the St. Louis riot, but The Gallagher Brothers pull this shit consistently and openly and do it for attention. Their Beatles posturing has gotten a bit grating to me. I still like all their early singles but I think they're way past their prime and are assholes in their personal lives. And IMO that's really what it is - an act - which is kind of what you said about them being tongue in cheek, but I still don't find it very amusing. Maybe at first, but after a few albums it gets old. Especially since they haven't really put anything out for a long, long time that's deserving of their egos. What's the Story and Definitely Maybe are undeniably good, but I can't get into their other stuff beyond a few singles.
Randy Lahey
The Masterplan and Be Here Now are also good albums. Be Here Now is bloated, much like The Illusions, but it's still got some great tracks on it. The way I see it, Oasis's recent albums (Heathen Chemistry and Don't Believe The Truth) are just as good as anything anybody else is putting out these days. If Green Day put out Oasis's last two albums, American fans would lap it up. Americans only seem to like other arrogant Americans. Axl's an accused wife beater but that doesn't bother me when it comes to listening to his music or going to see him live... I personally believe that he did hit Everly and Seymour too!! I just hope that Axl's managed to conquer those childhood demons in the last 16 years. Edited March 16, 2008 by Randy Lahey
appetite4illusions
Oasis was the big band when I was in school, so I was exposed to tons of them all the time. They really did have some momentum with their first couple albums. As a whole they were solid and contained some pretty noteworthy tunes. After their inital run, I began to enjoy the albums less, just one or two songs were solid. Be Here Now was pretty overblown, but I enjoyed the majority of it. I really loved the track 'Fuckin in the bushes' from Standing On the Shoulders of Giants , that rockin instrumental has gotten tons of play in my car.But everything since...meh.
