Gallagher Rose
35 years completed today since this masterpiece was released. The album stayed 25 years in the Billboard top 100, which is really remarkable. Is it the best album ever released? Honestly, I think it's in the top 10,even better than Sgt. Peppers. Lithium
It's nowhere near as good as The Beatles' best albums, like Revolver or Rubber Soul.

Randy Lahey
Darkside is definitely one of the best concept records of all time but it's not one of my personal favorite albums. Edited March 24, 2008 by Randy Lahey
JeanGenie
It's deffo one of the best albums ever made. I don't know if it's the best. the best would probably be Sgt. Peppers. it's the prototype of a perfect album.

krissirge
noJust howtosayit too detached and cold to be really enjoyable(but its intentional,so I won't say its bad),I used to hate it ,now I just think its mediocre,Money and Brain Damage are good songs.plus *shudders* I always thought that Waters is a far better singer than Gilmour.Piper At The Gates Of Dawn is THE Pink Floyd album
moreblack
DSOTM is great. And probably the most popular Floyd album. But it's really just entry level stuff for a Floyd fan, there's so much more in there to discover...
