SunnyDRE
I don't know if I have the answer for what you are asking; but I know "Happy Birthday" is one of the earliest songs to recieve a copyright. It is also the most performed song of alltime, by a wide margin. It will never be caught.
wasted
Probably a religious hymn. A tribal chant from the jungles of Africa. What's that tune in Kubrick's 2001?I bet it was like a Sorum drum solo.

DopeSickGirl
The world's oldest known song is approximately 3,400 years old and written in Hurrian on a clay tablet found at the site of the city of Ugarit in the early 1950s. Due to the lack of confirmatory material translations of the text differ, although all current interpretations agree that the music is diatonic. On some interpretations the music consists of two melodic lines and utilises both major and minor thirds, on other interpretations the music consists of one melodic line (is monophonic) with a rhythmic accompaniment. The First Delphic Hymn is the earliest unambiguous surviving example of notated music from anywhere in the world.According to wikipedia.Sounds like it must be right - 3,400years is a long ass time.Knowing wikipedia I was expecting it to say something ridiculous like Loveshack or something xDSGx
