Guest Satanisk_Slakt
I really like the countrystyle on songs, but unfortunatly the only thing I listen too which can be seen as country is Johnny Rebel. I like the style of that pretty much (I can honestly say that I do not support the KKK lyrics), but don't know any simulare bands/artist (stile-wise), so I keep listening to him. If The Eagles are country, than The Rolling Stones, CCR & Skynyrd are all country too.Just don't buy it. They're rock.Either way, probably the most recent artist i've enjoyed in country is Garth Brooks... which at the latest is early-90's, if that gives you any idea.I much more prefer classic country, guys like Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, etc. Edited April 27, 2008 by Axlin08
Graeme
If we're counting the Eagles then yes, plenty. If not then yeah but I couldn't name them.

Midnight Rambler
I love country but it has to be good country you know? Good country is just so moving, its the white mans blues. Emmylou harris's boulder to birmingham is a good example Just so fuking beautiful and moving. Old hank williams, johnny cash, lotas other old stuff, ryan adams, whiskeytown, all the alt' country stuff, gram parsons, even stuff by the stones, really thats what got me into country - songs like dead flowers, let it bleed etc. Heres ryan adams performing a slow one which i like And a fast one which fukin rocks Theres still good stuff out there you just gotta look hard for it.
