nunchuck
Im shocked, how can there be no mention of Faith No More, the only band brave enough to fuck with Axl instead of kiss his ass whilst they were touring together back in 92, especially after he'd supported them so much in the media, no other band would get away with this but they were a fucking great band and Axl knew this so he let them. For albums you got The Real Thing with its big crunchy Jim Martin guitar sound and little traces of funk scattered across the album, plus its got Epic, everybody loves that, then you got Angel Dust - the perfect LSD album, King For A Day with its harder edged, straight ahead sound and you have Album Of The Year which is really dark and just cool. Not forgetting the really weird stuff with the first vocalist Chuck Mosely on the first two albums, great band.

ksks12
Totally agree, Patton is one of the best singers IMO.Try to listen to Mr.Bungle-they are also great.

Right on, Patton and Axl are my fav frontmans.I really don't get why Faith no More didn't break it big. They had a hit with Epic and Easy, but in some mag they were quoted as one hit wonders. I don't know maybe they had too many weird songs (crack hitler etc.)It's also a big shame that Patton doesn't do anything serious anymore, well ok Mr. Bungle has a few good ones like: My ass is on fire. But everyone should check out Angel Dust and King for a day albums, if you like GnR I'm pretty sure you'll find stuff that you like in those albums. Patton is an awsome singer.
