Buckcherry are probably one of the most boring bands going around at the moment, they are quite shit.

QOTSA still have a lot left in them (or at least Homme does, he's the only one that counts).

Foo Fighters are past their peak (Colour and Shape was their peak, and that was a long time ago).

Muse are brilliant, but I wouldn't call them hard rock.

I honestly can't think of any bands right now that play good hard rock, at all. There are some great bands going around right now IMO, but none of them play what I would call hard rock.

Fu Manchu:

Evil Eye

King Of The Road

Hung Out To Dry (one of their newer songs - 2007)

Their newer stuff isn't as good. There's a few good bands tied in with Fu Manchu in the same style if you like them.

Spiderbait:

- Truly kickass, better than the original.

Fucken Awesome

Put It Down

Decent Aussie band.

Give me alternative Metal, Funk-Metal... anything that is not Indie shit, doesn't have growling and can kick my ass.

Every Time I Die

probably sounds emo to you, but theres no growling

Kieth Buckley is actually one of my favorite frontmen, hes energetic as hell and has this intense vocal command he uses to spew his clever lyrics

if you love hard rock theres no reason you shouldnt love these guys, listen to The Big Dirty, their newest album, and tell me it didnt kick your ass

i've only heard two songs by the arctic monkeys but they were pretty OK, they definitely had a groove. this one that goes "i bet that you look good on the dancefloor" and another one that i cant fuckin remember anything about except for part of the lyrics are something like "you'll get bent over" had a really cool groovy little riff. and i like how they've retained their accents...its really unique and authentic...gives them an identity, sounded cool :)

The Mars Volta.

Roulettes Dare

This is a video from a couple years ago, but its the clip that kicked me in the balls.

If you like that I could direct you to a number of other things.

Goliath

Love em'.

Yes.

Corrosion of Conformity:

Did I ever tell you that I met Cedric and Ikey before the concert in march? Awesome time. Ikey was on line at starbucks across from the gig and Cedric was buying shoes :xmasssanta:

Umm, you think Def Leppard aren't pussy rock? :rofl-lol: They made some great pop-rock songs. I wouldn't call them hard rock. Neither are The Killers (I know you didnt' bring them up), who are totally unremarkable btw.

The first time I brought him up you shat all over me. But I think Big Wreck and Thornley are worth a look (BW have since disbanded). I won't post links, they can be found in the VR forum.

That's my suggestion...whether you dig 'em or not doesn't matter to me.
