So back in the mid to late 80's there was a half-rap half rock song. I can't remember if the song was called black and white or if the band was called black and white.

But it was made up of some of the up-and-coming famous rockers of the generation.

I'M 90 percent positive that both Vince Neil and Axl Rose sang back up on it.

I can't even remember all the lryics except one part was

I seen her last night at the rainbow bar and grill . . . . (something something) she wanted to give me a thrill . . .

It came out on a cassette tape and had 2-3 versions of the song.

Anybody remember?

It's by a group called Black and White I believe. It's two groups that joined together to do a cd, one of them is Guns and Roses the other one I can't remember. The name of the song is "Rainbow bar and girls" part of the lyrics go,

The title says girl but the lyrics say grill

That's what I found on a Crüe fansite:

late 88

Vince and Tommy team up with Axl Rose and Slash from Guns N’ Roses and with rap band Black N White to release a rap song called Rainbow Bar & Girls for Atlantic Records on both cassette-single and 12” maxi single formats. Lizzie Grey, who co-wrote Public Enemy #1 on Mötley’s first album, receives a song writing credit for this track that goes Gold, selling over half a million copies in the U.S. alone.

Chronological Crüe

It's also listed in Axls discography on htgth.com too, but I've never heard (of) that song before.

To set the record straight: This track was really by a group called "London a/k/a D'Priest". True these guys rapped the verses under hire by London, but this was not their record. Atlantic pulled it off the market after discovering the fraud. Signed by Sean Lewis, a/k/a guitarist for London who played the lead guitar track on this cut!

FIBM: You were interviewed for Behind the music with Guns n Roses. I have not seen it yet, so I don't know if your parts were included, but what were your experiences with Axl Rose? Any good stories and did they include your parts?

Nadir: They did not include my parts and maybe one day you can ask Axl himself, tired of the same question everywhere I go.

I had $1.50 left over from an Amazon gift card and decided to download the track.

Let me be perfectly honest: it's probably one of the all-time worst songs i've ever heard. It's just incredibly awful.

Holy SHIT that song was bad. What a waste of a dollar.

I didn't even hear Axl on it.

I still have $0.55 in gift card balance left. Downloads are only $0.99. It's the first (and probably only) time I'll download an MP3 from Amazon.
