A New Singer for Led Zeppelin

BE interactive:

The members of Led Zeppelin are searching for a replacement for singer Robert Plant.

Since their historic reunion on stage last year, rumours of a world tour are circulating for Led Zeppelin.

Singer Robert Plant has said that he won't tour with Led Zeppelin, and that he is already touring with Alison Krauss, but rumours of a Led Zeppelin tour continue.

The band's other members have confirmed that a search is on for someone to take Plant's place on the microphone. One source told Britain's The Sun that the musicians have already met with several candidates in London, and have chosen an American for their new singer.

I can't say I ever imagined Zeppelin replacing anyone (except Bohnam's son stepping in, that's just a natural move).

Ill still see them regardless of who they choose but I'm quite flabergasted that this idea is even being entertained.

Then it won't be Led Zeppelin.

It'll be Jimmy Page, the rhythm guitarist and their touring band.

What are you talking about? Zeppelin never had a rhythm guitarist. It'll be Jimmy Page ( GUITAR ) and John Paul Jones ( BASS ).

Anyways, this is stupid. Unless they change the name from Led Zeppelin (Houses of the Holy would be cool as someone suggested) then it will tarnish Zeppelin's legacy a bit.

I was joking.

But somewhat serious.

I've never been a huge Zeppelin fan but if I were a huge fan this news would rather piss me off.

That said, I posted this elsewhere and the person who responded said he contacted his friend at Rolling Stone Magazine and they've been assured at their offices that it's merely a rumour and to ignore it. So maybe it's not true.
