eschman
First off, I know people say that this is Metallica's sell-out album and all that, but thats just stupid. Metallica spent 8 years releasing albums true to them, it was time for a little recognition. Anyway, I just listened to the Black album, and it's amazing, songs like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iskyNSbS7k and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EKrLh3V52aU really made Metallica deserve world-wide fame. Anyway, just wanted to say how good this album is, any one share these feelings? They did sell out, but it was good music still at this point. Just listen to the differences between that and the earlier stuff. However, they hadn't lost all of their creative spirit at this point, and the music was still interesting and enjoyable. Revolver281
Nice, the topic has been revived. Yeah I know the earlier albums are better. Master of Puppets is perfection. All I was saying is that that I used to hate the 'sell-out' Black album, until i actually gave it a chance. I think the biggest reason was the VH1 special 'Seek and Destroy', man that made me dislike the album, but it's actually not bad at all, they replaced speed with more heaviness.
