Since I didn't hear CD yet, I chose Duffy. Everything else is complete shit, except for Metallica and ACDC which are mediocre.

Chinese Democracy was album of the year in 2002, when we first heard it.

Day & Age by the Killers FTW.

That Lucky Old Sun by Brian Wilson is a contender for me. Duffy's Rockferry was excellent. Santogold's eponymous debut is also up there.

I haven't heard the complete version of Chinese Democracy yet, so I can't really comment. Same with The Killers' Day & Age (which looks like it's going to be another great effort by them).

Also, what about Muse's H.A.A.R.P. live CD (and DVD) from their shows in Wembley Stadium? I really enjoyed it.

The lead singer just died a few weeks ago.

He was a hell of a front man.

A real drag,I was hoping to catch one of the special shows where Marky was actually on the drums.

The cd is very cool...ffrank gave it his seal of approval!

An excellent contribution to cap off their career.

I'm glad they got to see it through to fruition.

I completely forgot about Jakob Dylan's- Seeing Things.

Didn't get much attention but this album is fantastic. (very similar to tom petty's solo stuff and a little like bob dylan too).

Also forgot to mention Scars on Broadway self titled album should be on this list. It's not the best album of the year but deserves a spot in top 10 imo.
