In Germany it came out in 2008, didn't know that it was released in 2007 in the US.

Judging from the leaks alone, I have to say Chinese Democracy. But Metallica's Death Megnetic, and AC/DC's Black Ice are both solid albums as well.

Also forgot to mention Scars on Broadway self titled album should be on this list. It's not the best album of the year but deserves a spot in top 10 imo.

Good call. That was a great debut album.

I also think Indestructible by Disturbed should have made the list.

I'm a fan of Gilbert's playing but I don't have any of his solo stuff. Will probably check it out at some point.

Judging on the leaks I'd say CD, otherwise..Don't really know, nothing has really struck me as a truely great album. I'd have to think about that one!

I know CD will be pretty close to album of the year for me, but right now it's a tie between Todd Rundgren's 'Arena' and Metallica's 'Death Magnetic'.
