Tina Turner live 2008

Just got back from two weeks in Florida, and capped the whole thing off by seeing Tina Turner live in Orlando.

I was lucky enough to score 11th row centre tickets and I'm really thankful for that!

This tour is excellent!

I've seen Tina live many times since the mid 80's and this time around she's every bit as good as any other tour I've seen.

As far as production goes she really outdid herself this time. This is her most theatrical production ever.

The stage functions on several levels...many times I had to crane my neck to watch she was up to next.

It was on par with a big scale tour production that was commonplace in the 70's...so much to look at.

And it wasn't done as a diversion to mask a slowdown due to her age.

The set reminded me of a theatrical Bowie tour, presented on many levels ala Glass Spider tour or something...it was very cool!

And age was no issue, she looked great.

She's still got those amazing legs!!

The dance moves may be a little more paced now,but when she busted them out they were killer.

And the voice...holy shit...the lady can still belt it out.

The band behind her was excellent and complimented her well...very tight all around.

She still has some of her old band members there like Jack Bruno on drums and John Miles on lead guitar.

The setlist was geared around the theme of a 50th anniversary tour and it basically spanned the hits alomg with well known classic live covers she's done in the past. She did a scorching Jumpin' Jack Flash/I Know It's Only Rock n Roll medley...Flash was way fuckin cool!

The highlight for me was the acoustic set...which included a god damn brilliant version of the Beatle's Help, very powerful.

Tina was on a real high,it was the night after the election and she mentioned it a couple of times and how very very happy she was about it.

The place just roared, just thunderous deafening approval!

It was amazing to see.

If this is indeed her last tour, she's going out in high style, she's really outdone herself with this tour.

Last call to see a rock legend??...highly recommended!

I have tickets to two more shows...can't wait!

A+...absolutely brilliant!

I probably should've went ahead and gone. I had bought tix to take my granny- she's been a huge Tina fan since the 60's. Granny backed out on me a few days before the show, and she was really the only reason I was even gonna go, so I ended up eating over 200 bucks on those tickets. She better get me a goddamn good xmas present, lol.

Glad you had a good time. Sounds like it was a great show.

Sounds like an awesome show! She's got such an amazing and unique voice. I'm a HUGE fan of hers. I've been debating about going to see her on this tour, and after reading your review I just might!

Ooooh you should!

She's really outdone herself this time!

She was excellent!

(and no opening act...it's all Tina, and a two hour performance! NOT counting the break)
