I know I realize living in california has it's advantages for bands, but take my view on this. I am a HUGE red wings fan, I would never buy an autograph online from any of them. But sometimes once a year, sometimes not for a long while, they practice out here and you can go get them to sign anything you want. If autograph's are something you seek alot, I'd say just be patient, eventually the band/team/singer ,whatever it may be, will come close to where you live. I don't know I'm not a big autograph person, so I probabaly view it a little different, but in my opinion the whole cool thing about an autograph is to put a stamp on your experience of meeting whomever it is that signed your item.

While I agree with you that it's a much better experience to get autographs in person

But some artist's never come to some countries so therefore the fan's may never have a chance to meet their favourite celebrity.

I'd never buy an autograph or look for one, I'd much rather remember the experience of meeting the person. I don't have many, but my favourite would be The Mighty Boosh. I got all five of them to sign my book :D

That said, if I had a choice of a normal Slash book or a signed one within £10 of each other, I'd obviously go for the signed one.
