axlskAmpf
In the spirit of things: Axl mentions his fateful Christmas Eve, singing a song we've yet to hear, as the heaviest most Sabbath like thing he's done. Also musically now he's into "Sorry", imo a very Sabbath influenced song, and as I said a few time upon release one of my top 2 on the record. That said, what's your favorite Sabbath composition? Here's one that I was as into when I was in 9th grade(release date) as I am today. I can tell ya, a lot of what I liked then I still appreciate but won't listen to now. Then there's the songs that still hit ya 27 years later, here's mine. Studio 1st, then 07 live after. Notice in 07 the key drops to accommodate lack of vocal range. (Something Axl has not had to do, amazingly) If anyone can find a live version from the day (81 tour?) please post it!Studiohttp://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=y-7Pyp4s7ZI&...feature=relatedLivehttp://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=YvpSHR8x8Zg
Spuffy78
Dio's like in his 60's and has amazing range. His voice holds up a lot better than Halford's does through a set.

I should have mentioned the age difference in the comparison. None the less the key was dropped. Halford lost his voice, I saw them on the Screaming for Vengeance tour, unreal. Now, not so much. He's a legend, as well, for what he did.I've not heard Dio go very high in recent years tho, show me. mr. orangestone
I'm not a fan of Dio Sabbath, but I love Sabbath with Ozzy (minus the last two albums). And I'd say Sorry is more Alice in Chains than Sabbath.

He can still sing like a motherfucker, you shouldn't be complaining. I'm sure Axl will be tuning down songs by 66 also, it happens. My favorite Sabbath song is probably Falling Off The Edge Of The World. Amazing lyrics, a classic Iommi riff, and it's really the definition of Sabbath IMO.
Memnoch The Devil
All the Sabbath lineups have their good moments and bad but I love the Dio era the best.
