there is no dana only zool Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I'm going to go on record right now and make the prediction that it is going to be a huge hit in the US. Quote
Estranged Reality Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Fred Durst wrote on his blog:"the limp dogs are bringin it hard!!" I actually am kind of guilty curious to hear what this will sound like... and whether Durst may redeem himself yet. He's certainly tried to recently, with a well-received indie film (forget the Ice Cube one) and a pretty awesome self-parody on Tom Green. But is that enough, or will he don the red cap once more and sing "I did it all for the nookie"? Quote
The Sandman Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Good luck to 'em - will check it out, even without Mike Smith or Borland. Quote

HAHAHAHAHA YES.i actually liked "rollin"Hahahaha that song RULED. You know what, fuck it... I HOPE they put out an awesome record. Their music was always pretty fun to listen to, but it was original. Yes, there are bands who also play "fun" music too, like Airbourne and Buckcherry, etc., but those bands' music really was never original at all. People said it was "fun" because it was a revival of sorts. At least with the limp dogs, () they made original sounding music. Now... will people buy into it during their mach-II period? Who knows... but for some reason I just have this feeling that it's going to be a hit. Quote
Blender Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Anyone know who the guitarist is going to be? Quote
there is no dana only zool Posted December 18, 2008 Author Posted December 18, 2008 Anyone know who the guitarist is going to be?Yeah, like Sandman said, not sure. I hope they have Wes Borland in the fold though... Quote
The Sandman Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 (edited) Anyone know who the guitarist is going to be?Yeah, like Sandman said, not sure. I hope they have Wes Borland in the fold though...It has actually be confirmed as Terry Balsamo - which actually fills me with optimism!Borland seems so unlikely to return for a third time, but would be epic. Alas.Especially since Borland is now the touring guitarist for Marilyn Manson - as well as still working with Black Light Burns - or whatever his side project was called. I genuinley feel sorry for Wes. I think he's gonna miss something big. I heard about him touring with Manson. Haha did you see the press conference clip with Manson in Japan announcing the news about Wes? He said something like, "He used to be in a really bad band..." Quote
Dean-16 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 I hate the way when people hear limp bizkit all they remember them for is rollin, and those shit novelty tracks, they had some really deep, emotional fantastic music. Quote

useyourintrusions Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Limp Bizkit can come up with some catchy stuff, I will give them that. You can always count on Durst to be on the douchey side of things though. Quote
RJ88 Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Fred is an awesome guitarist...... i love the caption for the video:Fred Durst Shred. This video proves once and for all that Freddy is one of the most underated musicians in modern music. Not only can he rap AND sing, he can play really fast shred guitar. Amazing and inspirational. Quote

Guest deleted_19765 Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 I'm shocked that so many people are interested in Limp Bizkit. Growing up in their prime, it was easy for me to ignore/mildly dislike them. I hadn't ever really thought that they might have any kind of endurance. I did loathe their version "Behind Blue Eyes" however. Quote
Marky Posted December 19, 2008 Posted December 19, 2008 Behind Blue Eyes was a fantastic version right up until they miss the last verse and replace it with some crappy breakdown. And Freddy gets to snog Halle Berry in the video, looking rather attractive she was too Build A Bridge is a srsly good song.
