I also have a bit of trouble naming artists that sound similar, but that's part of the fun If you like it you should check out their 2007 album, The Stage Names, which has a similar sound and quality. Their 2005 album Black Sheep Boy is better imo but not as similar to the Stand Ins... I like that singer songwriter one straight away, they are sort of like The Pogues mixed with flaming Lips. Makes me feel like drinking cider on the street.
