2009 MYGNR Cover Contest 1st Leg

OK, I will be organising a cover contest over periods of 2009.

Leg 1 is a contest to cover this song:

The 1st song will be Sorry - Guns N Roses. Bonus points for 'I dont vant to do it' (In any intersting pronounciation you can think of!). You can use any software, any instrument, if anyone helps you on it (A sibling, friend etc) please note this in your entry post.

You must also enter another song, by an artist of your choice (except GNR), please state the artist, song and album if you can. Again this can be of any software, instrument etc, same rules apply.

All entries must be in by the 6th of February 12:00 GMT.

Are all the songs going to be from Chinese Democracy?

What do you think about revealing what all of the songs will be? I think it would be useful because I am most likely not going to have as much time as I would like to work on these, and if there is some song that I obviously will suck at, then I can duck that one in favor of concentrating on another...

Is the judging going to be "what sounds like a reproduction of the original recording?" or "which sounds like the best reinterpretation of the song?"

Thanks! I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to enter or not yet, so anything you can do to pump up the contest will keep me interested

Best All Around - 5 points

Most Creative - 4 points

Most Axl-Esque - 1 points

Funniest - 4 points

Most Tearjerking - 3 points

Most Super Funky Techno Beaty - 2 points

Worse than the original - -3 points

I'll also add a 'Best I Dont Vant To Do It'

I'm just gonna make my cover over one single chord. It's faster than trying to figure out the damn thing. It's usually easy for me, but somehow my mind starts to melt when I try to figure out Sorry.
