Is there a non-audacity way to download/record songs from a stream?

Basically, Ive tried audacity, and I believe my soundcard is wrong, not letting me record what I hear through my speakers. I don't have a mic to record from or anything else. If you're using Mozilla Firefox, I'd suggest you trying the DownloadHelper addon. With it, you can directly download streamed mp3s/flv's from virtually any website...

Someone else recommended me the Freecorder Toolbar. It's a simple IE add-on, works good
