Subtle Signs Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) Anyone gonna check this tour out? Should be 90 mins from Lep,60 from Poison and 30 or so from Cheap Trick. I bet this tour will do big numbers. Guns are gonna have to suck it up and get a Def Lep type band on the bill with them if they wanna do decent numbers on tour.Cheap Trick:On Top of the WorldI Want You To Want MeThese DaysShe's TightSick Man of EuropeIf You Want My LoveDream PoliceThe FlameSurrenderPoison:Intro (Let Me Go To The Show)Look What The Cat Dragged InI Want ActionRide The WindI Won't Forget YouYour Mama Don't DanceCC Guitar SoloFallen AngelUnskinny BopRikki Drum SoloEvery Rose Has It's ThornTalk Dirty To MeEncore:Nothin But A Good TimeDef Leppard:Rock Rock Til You DropRocketLet's Get RockedNine LivesToo Late For LoveRock OnLove BitesOn Through The NightPhotographBringin' On The Heartbreak (acoustic)Two Steps Behind (acoustic)HysteriaAnimalArmageddon ItPour Some Sugar On MeEncore:Rock Of Ages Edited June 24, 2009 by rancid punks Quote
Shuffle Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) Cheap Trick is the only band I'd want to see out of those... and imo they should play longer than, at the very least, Poison. Edited February 21, 2009 by Soulseller Quote
Snake Eyes Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) I don't see why fucking Cheap Trick have less time than Poison. Are Poison really bigger than them in America right now?Def Leppard and Cheap Trick are killer live though, if I'm in the States at the time I'll check it out for them. Lithium Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 So, do you need a mullet in addition to a ticket to get into this show? Quote
sweetness Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 So, do you need a mullet in addition to a ticket to get into this show?laugh all you want, mr. intellectual undergrad. this music was a lot of fun for a lot of people. i'll happily be there. don't have a mullet, but i hope my rat-tail will still get me in. Poison actually puts on a solid live show, but seriously Cheap Trick should be headlining this Quote
Spuffy78 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I'll probably catch a show just for Cheap Trick. Quote
SunnyDRE Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 (edited) Cheap Trick is good, but I would really want see Leppard.I bet there will a shit load of women at the shows. I'd advise any single guy to go. Edited February 21, 2009 by SunnyDRE Quote

Good luck with that rat-tail, by the way. Quote
Stiff Competition Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Unfortunately, Trick doesn't get the pubic acclaim the deserve(though they are highly respected in the industry), so as much as I hate seeing them do this kind of stuff, it is good for them to get themselves out there because how ever much anyone wants to deny it, poison/def leppard will sell amphitheaters out very quickly and with trick releasing a new album sometime this year, that can only help. Cheap trick is always touring though so it's no big deal, as soon as this shit is over you can catch 'em in a club playing a full show and it is incredible every time. I've personally seen them 18 times. Quote

Powerage5 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 If there's a show within 50 miles, I'll go for Cheap Trick. Quote
Johnny Utah Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I'd go and get drunk. The bill and playing time makes sense if you consider amount of popular hits, which is after all a big factor in selling tickets. Quote
tat2d1 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I'll probably have to take my wife to this. I love Cheap Trick, my wife loves the other 2. Def Leppard was actually my first concert. I was 12, Hysteria tour. Quote
Getizzyback Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 I'd goLOL!!!You sure don't wear out your keyboard!I have noticed most of your posts are short and to the point! As for this show, I would go for Poison, they are great live.Def Leppard would be my wife's choice, and would like to see them.Cheap Trick makes a nice trio of a good concert.I last seen Poison 5 years ago with Cinderella and Faster Pussycat.Grat Show! I love when Poison does (Kiss's) Rock N' Roll All NiteThey usually do it at every show, and they have mastered it. Quote
DCGNR Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Actually, I think Def Leppard is too good to be on this bill- not sure what they sound like these days thoughI saw Elliot on Vh1 recently and just hearing him talk seemed painful to me Quote
MrBrownstone531 Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I've seen Poison four times, and I've seen Def Leppard, and they are both fantastic live (never seen Cheap Trick, but I enjoy their stuff). I just tried getting a single lawn ticket for this show since Live Nation doesn't charge service fees on Wednesday, but you can't get that deal unless you buy a 4 pack. After all those BS fees, a $29.00 ticket is $47.00. Must be nice to have a monopoly on tickets. Quote
GivenToFly Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I saw Def Leppard last year when they toured with Whitesnake. I wasn't really into them, but I went there with some friends (I mostly wanted to see Whitesnake) and they were pretty good. They put on a great show. I listened to some of the songs from the setlist later, after the show, but the studio versions didn't impress me at all. But the show was pretty good. Unfortunately the people I was with made me leave about 1/3 into the Whitesnake set. I still hate them for it. Quote
moreblack Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I'd goLOL!!!You sure don't wear out your keyboard!I have noticed most of your posts are short and to the point!HA Now that I think about it , you're so right. The way I see it, there's lots of posters here who give big long posts about everything on this green earth...GivenToFly, that sucks to have to leave so soon into WS set, they are incredible live from what I've seen/heard. Doug Aldrich is one of my favorite guitarists, and I'd love to see him live either with WS or Dio. Quote

Unfortunately the people I was with made me leave about 1/3 into the Whitesnake set. I still hate them for it.I feel your pain. In 1991, some friends and I had tickets to see Van Halen w/Alice in Chains opening. AIC were still new and Van Halen was huge. The 'friends' I was with didn't care about the opening act, but I did. Anyway, we got stuck in traffic because these assholes only cared about Van Halen, so I missed Alice in Chains. I was so pissed, never went to a show with them again. On topic, this sounds like a good show and the price is right. I'd probably leave midway thru Def Leppard, I'm not into them like I was in the 80's, and I've seen them before. Poison does put on a good show, even though they are kind of silly. And I've never seen Cheap Trick. Quote
LightningBolt Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I really wanted to go to this. When I get a job, I suppose... Quote
artfromtex Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Cheap Trick's set is criminally short. i'll wait for a club tour.if Def Leppard were playing more "High N' Dry" stuff, i'd go.poor Cheap Trick. the most misunderstood and underrated band ever. Robin Zander deserves so much more recognition. he is the Roy Orbison of his time. Quote
krissirge Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 (edited) I dont know any Cheap Trick besides The Flame....but I saw Def Leppard and they put on a good show live...P.S. Poison really needs to do a tour in Europe Edited June 25, 2009 by krissirge Quote
