Also, they played too many of the new songs which are all overly long and boring. Quote
F*ck Fear Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I'm going to the Toronto show.A buddy of mine seen Metallica in 2004 or 2005 and said they were sick. Quote

Ant Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I was at the same show Randy was at, but I thought it was smokin'. I'd pay to see 'em again in a heartbeat if they were coming back. Quote
st0n3r Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 (edited) they lost Jason and hit a slump no?The fact that they lost Jason is a terrible, terrible shame, but they never really needed a comeback. I saw the during their st. anger-tour (which I admit is a horrendous album) and they STILL kicked ass! Metallica could sell out every gig they planned since the black album.I saw them recently as well and, despite the mediocre sound, they were amazing. The new songs fit in the setlist next to the old songs without any problems. Edited March 26, 2009 by st0n3r Quote
Zint Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Some Kind of Monster documented the slump...and the comeback.St.Anger was the "comeback" release...like it or not.Not everyone hated it.And like stoner said...the St.Anger tour was a huge success, sold out damn near everywhere,if not everywhere...and they fuckin ripped.Comeback was a success.....on to the next venture. moreblack Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 There was another comeback with DM though, they ditched the "rock" thing they'd been doing since Load and went back to being heavy. Quote
droezle Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 I saw Metallica 6 times already and they never bored me. They are a band who knows how to show respect to their fans. Quote
moreblack Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Never seen them before, but I've heard nothing but good things from those that have been to a show. Quote
