coolio GNR Posted March 28, 2009 Share Posted March 28, 2009 Ok, I know what the song is about but there is one line that I am not sure about.Far away across the field The tolling of the iron bell Calls the faithful to their knees To hear the softly spoken magic spellsHere, I know that Roger is talking about a funeral and the preacher talking. When he says this line is he expressing his atheist views? In other words, when the preacher is talking about God, Roger considers it bullshit by calling it a magic spell. I hope I made myself clear.
