It is no secret that Billy Corgan heard "Loveless" (MY Bloody Valentine) and "nutted" over that album for his entire career..........

I really like them actually... yeah it's a bit Pumpkins-ish, but honestly, so much music is retrospective these days that I don't really care.

I agree there is a bit of Pumpkin-ness in the singer's vocals, but not enough to warrant the enormous amount of comparisons, and certainly not enough to warrant calling them ripoffs.

Also, happened to pick up their album Carnavas yesterday. Highly recommended to anyone interested in them. Great record.

I just got Swoon, and it's a pretty good album. You can definitely hear the Pumpkins influence, but it works. And it's nice not to hear the "woe-is-me" angsty stuff the Pumpkins had a habit of leaning towards.

I think the singer sounds a bit like Corgan, but they're definitely not a "Billy Corgan tribute band" of any kind.
