Achtung Baby!

The songs outside of the singles are better.

Its a more upbeat album.

Production and musicianship are a much higher standard.

It was something different at the time.

They are both very boring.

Do you mean to say that you've never replied on a subject you don't like?

I have, but I've seen you do it plenty. Hardly ever do I do it myself.

Besides, you didn't answer my question on why you would come in and reply if you don't like either album. And the whole "He/you did it too" thing doesn't work.

If you say so. I voted "null vote". If I had to choose I'd probably take The Joshua Tree.

Joshua Tree has killer opening tracks but after that I think it fades alot before ending quite well. The production is alright at best on the album and as a result it suffers from at times sounding a little flat...

However Achtung Baby is consitently strong throughout the album and ends fantastically with Acrobat and Love Is Blindness which are two of my favorite songs. The production is top notch here and every song sounds alive and colourful and I like it a hell of alot as a summer album!

Achtung Baby is, to put it simply, more texturally interesting. I don't think the songs are necessarily better, but I'd rather spend time in it as a record. Eno/Lanois sound uncharacteristically dated on The Joshua Tree, something they escaped in both the '70s and '90s.

Tough choice.

At the time (1991-2) I would have said Joshua Tree, but in hindsight I vote for Achtung Baby.

Neither is in my Top 3 U2 albums.

1.Under A Blood Red Sky (1983)

2.War (1983)

3.The Unforgettable Fire (1984)

4.Wide Awake In America (1985)
