Snake Eyes
Never heard much here when this record came out, any NYD fans here? Some favourites of mine off the record are Making Rain, Cause I Sez So, Better Than and Trash.
dirtylenny
I adore The Dolls, like HARCORE adore...and...honestly? I just can't listen to em without Johnny, Jerry & Arthur, i honestly cannot bring myself to do it. I know, get over it, its just an album right? :xmassrudolph: But i can't...not without Johnny Thunders, i might cry or something and "there's nothing worse than watching a fuckin man weep"
Snake Eyes
I know the feeling man.. I was skeptical. But I don't view it as NYD really, it's a record to me. A fuckin' killer record. Go on, give it a go. I swear you'll dig it! Just listen to it by yourself, so incase you do weep, nobody has to watch. No harm done.

Snake Eyes
It's cool I'll let you off. I've really been getting back into this band lately. Dunno if I'd go see em live, a record is one thing but live without Johnny is gonna be fuckin weird. Right now for me it's T.Rex, New York Dolls, The Prodigy, Oasis and Marmalade - but the Dolls in particular.
Guest knerken
I'm seeing them in July! Is the new album any good? I like the title-track, but the new Trash was horrible. It's the only two songs I've heard so far

Snake Eyes
Oh, and NOFX. I haven't actually heard NYDs first since the whole "re-union" thing but this second one is going to have me pick it up soon.
LightningBolt
Heard the title track from Cause I Sez So on Little Stevie's Underground Garage or whatever that thing's called and I thought it was a great song.
Guest knerken
One Day it will please us.. is a fine comeback-album, you should give it a listen. Nothing compares to the debut-album with the original line-up though.
Zint
I just can't I know, im being a total bitch but there it is man..i dunno, maybe someday..in passing...i dunno..You're missing out on some great fuckin music with nu York Dolls.Johanssen and the guys have cooked up some great under the radar music. You know...music for music's sake.New York Dolls are waaaaaaay over here man,it's on its own trip. But the new line up is cookin' in a fine tradition.Great fucking songs man.errr...I'm talking about the new band's first cd,I have picked up the new one yet.Haven't had time. But I will...and I know it's going to be great.Hold the Thunders' Dolls on a high pedastal as all fans do...but don't deny yourself great music in the process.Seriously man...good tunes await you. Zint
Dunno if I'd go see em live, a record is one thing but live without Johnny is gonna be fuckin weird.Nah man...GO!I saw them last year in Toronto and it's every bit as cool as as listening to the new cd's.They are fucking shit hot good live and definitely worth checking out.The original Dolls vibe is over, but what these guys offer up live is worthy. It's music presented live for the sake of playing live...the love of it.Johanssen has been having a blast and Sylvain....god bless him...has been playing his heart out. He's just dripping with joy and it shows. It's a valid enough reason to experience this band live just to see Syl releshing this renaissance.I saw Johnny live in 1984 and quite frankly...the Dolls gig last year blew Johnny's show out of the fucking water...majorly(mind you Johnny was completely fucking wrecked and could hardly play)

ronaldo9
Picked it up the day it came out. I really enjoy the new album. My favorite tracks are probably "Better Than You" and "Drowning."
