IRS2008
Does "Backstage Tour" mean you get to meet the band backstage? No way! At least as long as Axl is involved.Yeah- definitely not . That would be called a "Meet & Greet". most big bands charge $500-$1500 for that. "Backstage Tour" means just what it says- Tour of EQUIPMENT backstage

achsas_darnoc
So you waited 15 years for a single statement to the fans and now that even the guitar players who recorded CD are gone you are going to pay 295,- for parking and getting in early to drink beer from a paper cup and buy merchandise? And if you're lucky you get backstage for 3 minutes to see some roadies at work and meet...who? DJ Ashba? Whatever drugs you guys are on, I want some of that too... I took my (now ex) girlfriend who wasn't that much of a fan.Seriously, the food wasn't up to scratch, the drinks were a few different bottled beers, some blue WKDs and wine, the "backstage tour" was being walked from the dining area through corridors to our "top seats". We got given a poster which was not great so I left it behind. The only bonus really was meeting true genuine GN'R fans. But I expected much more. I guess naively I thought we would at least get near the band, perhaps even meet one or two.

But regretted it later!.
LightningBolt
Axl said in his chats (And I asked him the question under the name BRING BACK BRAIN) something to the effect of charging fans to meet bands is lame. Maybe someone can dig it up.This sounds like a cash grab to me.That isn't really what this is, though...
Ali
Axl said in his chats (And I asked him the question under the name BRING BACK BRAIN) something to the effect of charging fans to meet bands is lame. Maybe someone can dig it up.This sounds like a cash grab to me.That isn't really what this is, though...You don't think some fan is gonna purchase this and think they are gonna meet a band member? Either way, what about this package is worth the price they are charging? The ticket is what $80 bucks, so what am I paying the other $200 for? This isn't the fucking Rolling Stones, the merch booths are not gonna be mobbed. I was at the London,ONT 2002 show, I have no doubts that these shows will sell well,if not sell out but this package is still a rip off. There is a difference between someone buying this package THINKING they may get a chance to meet a band member and having this sold as a chance to meet band members. From what I can tell, if you buy this package with the expectation of meeting the band and get disappointed, the fault is your own for expecting what wasn't promised. This isn't being sold as a chance to meet the band.Ali
