Rock_And_Roll_Over Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 (edited) Okay, here's the deal. Some of you may know that Joe Perry released a solo album. Today he was playing at the Fillmore at Irving Plaza in New York, so I decided why not go?At the beginning he said he was going to "clear some shit up".In the encore, guess who came out?STEVEN TYLER.He said that he's NOT leaving Aerosmith, and then they played "Walk This Way".Here's the video I took of him actually saying it. The whole performance is up on Youtube as well. And by the way, Joe kicked ass in the regular part of the show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsS6kxUXkeA (first part, where he says he's not leaving)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58R5oxk_NFY (second part, 1st half of "Walk This Way")http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lVuXZdp5v0 (third part, 2nd half of "Walk This Way")And a picture I took: Edited November 11, 2009 by Rock_And_Roll_Over Quote

JeanGenie Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 I posted in the other Aerosmith a Joey Kramer interview where he said that Steven didn't leave the band. Quote
DirtyDeeds Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 this story is getting weirder and weirder. Quote
GivenToFly Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Do you folks think it was just a publicity stunt? Quote
Jumpin' Jack Flash Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 This turned out to be great publicity for the band! Nice work, guys! Quote
Powerage5 Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 So...he's going back on what he said two days ago about focusing on "Brand Tyler" for the foreseeable future? Quote
Rock_And_Roll_Over Posted November 11, 2009 Author Posted November 11, 2009 So...he's going back on what he said two days ago about focusing on "Brand Tyler" for the foreseeable future?I don't think HE said it....I think it's possible that either Joe overreacted and told people about this too soon, or someone talked to Steven and told him how stupid he was being Quote
Montrealer Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Lucky you! That story sounds more and more like a big marketing strategy than a real story. Quote
P.A. Guns Posted November 11, 2009 Posted November 11, 2009 Excellent news!!!!! Though I believe this whole feud was staged. Quote
luvaxl4ever Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 (edited) So awesome; I'm insanely jealous that you got to be there! Edited November 12, 2009 by luvaxl4ever Quote
Guest floyd the barber Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Oh boy. Now I can sleep better knowing that Steven Tyler is not leaving Aerosmith. Quote
TheFormerSoul Posted November 12, 2009 Posted November 12, 2009 Yay more of this But in all seriousness, this was a publicity stunt, were going to have another just push play album and re-live the pop again and again and again. Quote
feconroses Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Apparently ST dont want to leave aerosmith but want a 2 year break and during this break he will focus on "brand tyler".The problem is that the rest of aerosmith dont want to sit and wait for steven for 2 years. Quote
chevelle Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Apparently ST dont want to leave aerosmith but want a 2 year break and during this break he will focus on "brand tyler".The problem is that the rest of aerosmith dont want to sit and wait for steven for 2 years. He's had the past five years to do just that...now that Aerosmith wants to start back up, he decides he wants to go solo? Makes no sense. Quote
eye2eye Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Any form of Aerosmith with Tyler = fail , even if the hire Robert Plant. Quote
fransesselaar92 Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 thats a relief!i was rly worried!looks like an awesome show btw Quote
JesusisSavior Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 "Joe may be a man of many colors... but I am the mother@#$@#* rainbow!" I love steven... Knew he couldn't stay away for long Quote
