Spoon87 Posted February 16, 2010 Posted February 16, 2010 (edited) Still only one concert so far, Pearl Jam in Berlin this summer, but the addition of Ben Harper & The Relentless 7 as the opening act, made me really happy I'm still hoping for GNR and Soundgarden to come 'round these parts! Oh, and maybe John Butler Trio in May I think it is. Edited February 16, 2010 by Spoon87 Quote
Tater Totts Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Just got tickets to the free Rage Against The Machine Gig at Finnsbury Park on June 6th. Quote
Snake Eyes Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 I'm still trying to get through... it's http://www.seetickets.com/RATM/ right? I mean, what the fuck, it's been two hours. Quote
Tater Totts Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 I got through using internet explorer but took forever with multiple tabs. The stupid thing is they are doing it on a lottery basis but people can't apply because of the servers. What they should have done is have people applying when they registered the picture so it was all fair.As for the waiting thankfully I got my Reading 2010 ticket in the presale last year so won't have to do this again. Dangelus Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I'm going to see Rage!!! Also plan to get tickets for the Alter Bridge tour starting in the UK in October. Will catch Guns if they come here and Slash if he does. Quote

Farthest I've gone yet for a concert is Cincinnati, OH (9 hours away), so August is gonna be a hell of a month for me. I was thinking about catching The Stooges in Oslo too, but I just can't pass up another Maiden show if I'm gonna be in Scandinavia for it.Are there any other Stooges dates in the region? Maybe I'll figure a third show into my trip if I can...Does the 5 in 'Powerage5' refer to the thousands of shows you see each year?Haha, no. Just my favorite AC/DC album, and a random number. Powerage5 Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 1/12/10 - Agent Orange (Rochester)NICE!How was that??..original line up?Mike Palm was the only original member, but it was fucking amazing. I was't going crazy or anything, just sort of at the back of the room, I had hurt my ankle earlier that day snowboarding and wasn't in the mood to fuck it up worse. Probably the best punk show I've ever been to besides McRad in December. They played all the old stuff, and did a few covers too. They played Nervous Breakdown, We're Only Gonna Die, Police Truck, and a couple other West Coast songs too, can't remember what. Definitely check them out if they ever come around again! Quote

I don't even think Sweden/Bergen is that crazy; plenty of people do cross-continental travel for festivals. But the fact that I'm literally going to spend 2 weeks following Maiden before flying to Europe to see them is pretty insane Actually, the shows I'm going to in a couple weeks are also pretty crazy. I go to school in Mansfield, PA. I got my roommate into Tower Of Power, and he's never seen them. So, we're skipping our last 2 classes to drive 4 hours to Buffalo for 2 Tower shows. We probably won't even leave Buffalo until 12:30 or so, I'm really good friends with the lead tenor sax player, and we always stick around after their shows and hang out with the band. We're staying at my house in Rochester, an hour and a half away. We're driving back Tuesday morning for 3 hours of classes, then driving straight back up to Rochester with a few more people for Coheed. Quote
Tater Totts Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Powerage. I am sure this has been asked and answered by you.But how in the hell can you afford all the shows?! Quote
