Conor Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 (edited) Too right he is Nickelback being the top group though? Somehow I think not. They've had one or two well known singles, certainly not band of the decade. I think that'd go to Muse or Green Day. Edited December 26, 2009 by Conor Quote
Jumpin' Jack Flash Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 (edited) Surprisingly, I agee. Billboard is still shite, though.EDIT: I only agree with the bit about Slim. Everything else is complete bullshit. Edited December 26, 2009 by Jumpin' Jack Flash Quote
Spoon87 Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Wait, why do I laugh, this is shocking... Well, at least Beyoncé can sing. Quote
Takeshi Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Eminem is only famous because he's white. Beyonce is only famous because she has a huge ass. Nickleback are only famous because they are the biggest douche bags in the history of human civilization. They are the holy trinity of suck and the real reason why the music industry is in the toilet. Damn kids. Get off my lawn. Quote
sweetness Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Nickelback top group? Really? REALLY? Quote

fillmore Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 what a pathetic decade. very forgettable. i guess this is what happens when i quit paying attention. Quote
FuddMckagan Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Weren't Nickleback named worst act of the decade by some english magazine? I think that title is much more appropriate. Quote
Axzeal Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 a7x are hands down the top group of the decade. Nickelback didn't do jackshit except create another era of cheezy rock and a rise in hiphop/pop and evangelic country. Quote
BassLikeHot Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Eminem?Encore? D-12.Most of The Eminem Show."Lose Yourself".WHAT?! Quote
kevdo242 Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Eminem has got balls, whereas Kanye and others just stayed safe with their music. Writing a song about killing your wife, in graphic detail, was pretty brave. Marshall Mathers LP is definately one of the best of the decade.Nickelback cater to old women, and people who find Coldplay too abrasive. Those people also buy music, I'd say real music fans don't buy as much music. Quote
Vogstar90_G'N'R Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I would agree with that list except for Nickelback. I Wouldn't even call myself a Green Day fan but I would have thought that they would have been given "Band of the Decade". Quote
LightningBolt Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I'd say real music fans don't buy as much music.I'd say that's a pretty screwed up thing to say and a baseless assumption. Quote
Powerage5 Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I'd agree about Eminem, one of the few rappers I listen to past the 80's stuff. Don't follow any female artists, so I'm indifferent to Beyonce. Nickelback, lolz. Quote
ColdHeartBreaker Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 I like Em, so this is cool, I think it's well deserved. I find most of the other artists mentioned forgettable however. Quote
illusions Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Nickelback top group? Really? REALLY?You seem suprised by this? Quote
sweetness Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Nickelback top group? Really? REALLY?You seem suprised by this?i knew they were big but as far as musicianship goes i thought people would be able to recognize a few other great bands from this decade... Quote
Tater Totts Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Nickelback top group? Really? REALLY?You seem suprised by this?i knew they were big but as far as musicianship goes i thought people would be able to recognize a few other great bands from this decade...Yeah but arent these awards based on the billboard album sales and alike?Which is why Nickelback did so well compared to like Green Day, Nickelback sold consistent numbers of albums through the decade whereas Green Day had a poor start with Warning and it wasnt until 2005 with American Idiot they sold alot.
