good for him. Still, I hope he saves his best work for GNR. Maybe he could make GNR some kind of playing with Sixx:AM or even Mötley Crüe together. I know that there used to be some kind of hate between these but since we have Ashba.. I would kill for seein Sixx:AM + GNR show

In the studio with Sixx AM does that mean DJ was just stepping in for a few shows and now BUCKETHEAD and/or ROBIN FINCK will come back?

I doubt it, Sixx AM is just a side project not a full time commitment, unlike GnR

Why not just call Bon Jovi and Bret Michaels?

Are you insane?

I'm a GN'R fan partly because Axl was always above and beyond these cockrock idiots.

DJ Ashba deserves credit for helping the band out so they can tour but he should just join Tokyo Hotel and stick to impress little girls posing with his tattoos.

No, I'd just love to see the band touring with at least one guitar player that co-wrote and recorded Chinese Democracy, that's all.

We just pretend Thal and Fortus are gone now too?

People on these boards are so bad at trolling and you guys buy in to it. Dont let these trollin sons of bitches ruin your good stuff people, same goes to the band. Fuck the whiners, the bitchers and the liars.

I am not going to read to much into that, it's pretty obvious there is time now for him to do the guitar on the album. I really don't see him ditching GN'R.

Fortus and Thal have ZERO writing credits on CD and both didnt add much to the album.

Sure Thal redid some of BHs solos, which he should not have, and he added a few fill here and there that were not even needed.

Fortus while a good guitar player, what did he add exactly to CD? Not much and I love Fortus.

As for DJ with Sixx AM, he is not going to drop everything for Axl, he can do both esp while Gnr are not touring for a month or so

Ron wrote all of his parts, besides the Bucket ones he re-recorded. All the riffing Ron plays on the title track, were written by him.

Guys there are plenty of other places on the forum to discuss these other things, this thread is about DJ Ashba in the studio with Sixx AM.

Let's try and stay on topic :)

Thanks

Those are not writing credits. You dont get credit for adding a few riffs here and there to songs. Anyone can do that. He didnt help write those songs.

Those parts he so called wrote were not even needed, the leaks sounded fine before Ron ever added his two cents and did not change the basic structure of the song

What are a you going to try and debate writing credits now too?

About DJ writing new songs with Axl, so what does that mean axl wll just scrap all the stuff he did with Robin and BH?

Dj has pirior conmintments to Nicki. Nothing wrong with that. Many artists work with several others. Hell all the guys have been working with other artists. No big deal.

IMO, Ron and Frank made Chinese 100x better than it was, with his sleazier sounding fretless riff and the solid rock beat. No way it would have been first single otherwise.

As far as nitpicking for 'writing credits'...Axl is the sole writing credit on both November Rain and Estranged....but amongst GNR fans, these songs also showcase Slash's finest work some might say. So shouldn't discredit Ron's work on CD because his name isn't in the writing credits, thats all i'm saying...

ON TOPIC: Can't wait to hear new Sixx AM material, big fan of their first album.

I can't see DJ still doing studio work with SIXX:AM hurt GN'R at all. Think he said once he LOVE to work all the time, recording in studio etc. So let him record with them if he want, I'm sure he'll be in studio with Guns too when it's time for that!

A new SIXX:AM album will be awesome!! Heroin Diaries Soundtrack is one of my favourite albums, so really looking forward to next!
