They have a new album coming out in May, so they will be playing new songs on this tour.

He did in '08 for sure, but last year was the best he's sounded since Purple came out.

Dead Flower and I are going together and wearing Beam Me Up, Scotty t-shirts with pictures of Scott Weiland in sensual poses.

Classic!

On topic, none of these dates are even remotely close to me, so I'm hoping there's some Eastern US dates preceding the Camden show, gotta see them at least once this year, though I'd like to maintain my 2 per year quota.

Also, nice to see them finally giving some love to Europe.

i saw them in 09 and was blown away. i had been warned that scott sounded / looked burned out but i was very impressed.

i highly recommend going. i almost didnt because of said adivce and if i had i would have missed out.

fuck randy lahey.

Exactly how I was after the '08 shows. I wouldn't say they were terrible or anything, but I was definitely feeling underwhelmed. I seriously debated going to Ottawa for them again in July, and didn't even get a ticket until 5 days before the show. Best decision I ever made to go.

June 13 Download Festival @ Donington Park Donington, England

Isn't there usually a webcast from Download??

I think so, last time I watched it was '07, so I don't know if they still do it.

I am going to the May 23 MMR*B*Q 2010 @ Susquehanna Bank Center Camden, NJ show, Alice in Chains are gonna be there too, and probably some crappy cookie cutter rock bands too like trapt or puddle of mudd lol.

I plan on making this show if nothing else shows up in my area, I think Camden is about 7 hours for me.

3/19 - Bossier City, LA

3/20 - Thackerville, OK

3/22 - Kansas City, MO

3/24 - Sioux City, IA

3/26 - Milwaukee, WI

3/27 - Chicago, IL

3/30 - Louisville, KY

3/31 - Detroit, MI

4/3 - Robinsonville, MS

5/23 - Camden, NJ (MMR BBQ)

6/11 - Nickelsdorf, Austria (Nova Rock)

6/13 - Donington, England (Download)

6/19 - Scheessel, Germany (Hurricane Fest)

6/20 - Neuhausen, Germany (Southside Fest)

Im glad they have decided to come to buttfuck Iowa. Fucking no one ever comes around here.

You are from Iowa?? I don't know why they just didn't come to Omaha. It's a bigger city with better venues to choose from. Sioux City sucks!! The air smells like cow slaughter and shit. And the town is DEAD after 6 o'clock. <_<

On a slightly related note, the band announced yesterday the album will be released May 25th. It's called Stone Temple Pilots, and here's the tracklist:

"Between The Lines"

"Take A Load Off"

"Huckleberry Crumble"

"Hickory Dichotomy"

"Dare If You Dare"

"Cinnamon"

"Hazy Daze"

"Bagman"

"Pea Coat"

"Fast As I Can"

"First Kiss On Mars"

"Maver"

Also, Scoot has an autobiography coming out in November called "Not Dead & Not For Sale". It's a good time to be an STP fan! :xmasssanta:

Fast As I Can is also one of their Mighty Joe Young demos. I always kind of liked that song, cool to see it brought back so many years later.

Supposedly it isn't the same song. Shame, I love that song as well.

I'm imagining an album that's very pop-driven. One not quite as acidic as Tiny Music, but more like the stuff on Shangri-La; modern cut tracks like "Days of the Week" & "Hollywood Bitch".

It's interesting that Dean said there won't be another "Plush." With titles like these, there obviously won't be a stadium driven anthem with Weiland going all Morrison.
