Stipemanblue Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 There was talk on this site that one of the shows from the Chinese D. tour would be released on DVD. Wasn't sure if it was a U.S.release or just an overseas import. Has anybody heard anything more about it? Thanks.

Rock_And_Roll_Over Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I don't see it happening. Would be cool though.
RNRS Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 By the time they've released it the line up will be completely different.

RocketKing99 Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Unfortunately I don't see it happening.
Adele Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 We could only hope. I would love a South American concert tour DVD. I don't see why it couldn't happen.
Graveyard Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 it would be quite a treat for the fans! especially those of us who haven't been lucky enough to have the opportunity to see the band since the 2006 and 2007 tours.
laz Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 would be nice with a new live dvd. if they release one i hope they release something from the new shows.they sound great now:)
Phanatic Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I don't think they will. I hope I'm wrong.
Mike Honcho Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Highly unlikely, but hope they play at Rock Am Ring kind of televised festivals.
GunsNRevolvers2 Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 South American Official DVD release would be awesomeFortunately, there will be 1-3 SA shows broadcasted on TV down there most likely, so someone will cap it, and release the bootleg...which is great
bucketmaster101 Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I know it's not an official release, but when I was in HMV the other day they had 2 live GNR DVD's that I'd never seen before. I think they were imports, but it was the St Louis gig (the one with the riot) and I think Rock in Rio 2006. They wern't much to look at, but a nice find in a high street retailer =]xXx
James Bond Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 An official release would be nice. One of the concerts in full with some extra features like rehearsal clips, backstage footage, secret show clips, and maybe a rare song performance that happened at a previous concert (say Catcher is performed once and not again, toss that performance on as a bonus feature). It would a nice overview of the tour. We can only hope and speculate at this point though. Another choice would be to release the DVD as an extra with either a CD of new material, or even a live album at the very least. Sell it at a good price (the CD/DVD package) and it could do good things for this current line-up, especially in the sense of getting the general public to see how strong they are as a band.
Young_Gun Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Man im still wondering what ever happened to that behind the scenes footage from back in 2007 tour. Where they showed Axl on the way to the stage and had footage of Axl in some meeting room. Definately looked like a "making of" feature. Im hoping it gets released...
Guest Satanisk_Slakt Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 No. Axl has showed many times that he don't like to release things.
karlossacanell Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 It's not up to GNR,it's up to the record company. A mix of the Japan/Canadian and upcoming 70,000 seat stadium shows would be awesome.Maybe a song or 2 from the secret shows as a bonus feature.Agree... we should ask to the record company ...
