Absolutely!

Very close to home for me, in fact, my next door neighbour taught them in school and my old geography teacher was in the same class as them. They grew up about ten minutes down the road from me. Seen them at some really small intimate gigs as well, a really great band.

Never really was my cup of tea. Meltdown had some decent tracks on it though, Polaris from Twilight of the Innocents is a really good track as well.

Oasis were bigger because of when they came out and what they did to music in the UK, but I agree they have had some dud albums.

Meltdown definitely has some awesome tunes. Cost me a pretty penny though, as I had to have it imported.

One of my faves from that album

Can remember about 10 years ago they did some promo gig in the Virgin megastore where I live. Was meant to go but ended up not bothering. Heard a couple of their songs & they're decent enough but wouldn't go out of my way to see them.

It's a good band but it's too much of a "teenager" band in spirit you know, a bit like Avril Lavigne. I enjoy it sometimes but obviously not my cup of tea for everyday life (that band is Guns N' Roses). I enjoy one of their latest songs very much "You can't have it all", very fun song. Oasis is a lot better than Ash though, no wonder they exploded in UK.

Ash were better than Oasis, but not as good as Blur and Pulp. My favorite song of theirs (as far as I can recall) -

i think they are on the same level with Blur, but they and Blur for that matter, are better then Pulp.

Pulp is probaly one of the most overrated bands in history.

Bump for this great band.

If you are someone looking for a band that doesn't take itself too seriously, writes hooks, and hasn't "sold out", this band is for you!!!

**thumbs up**

Best band that noone in the United States ever heard.

Someting about this tune...

"This I Love" , from some white boys, who actually know how to write R&B. **rolls eyes***
