Plush.

I'm more a fan of Shangri-La Dee Da and Purple though.

Yep.

Core is my least favorite STP album

3rd favorite for me, tied with SLDD, and with Purple and Tiny Music ahead, and No. 4 behind.

On the album, I would say Plush is best. However, Dead And Bloated is my favorite live, especially now. So awesome when Scott starts the encore and everyone just goes fucking crazy.

I'm going to make another poll for the rest of their albums, I'm far more interested to see what everyone's favorites off the other albums are.

EDIT: I'm not making another poll, can only have 3 questions.

Well, I've only recently gotten into STP. Core and Tiny Music are the only albums I own and I think Core is a brilliant album. Tiny Music is good, but not great.

Tiny Music is a masterpiece. Their creativity definitely peaked on that album.

To me Shangri-La Dee Da's their greatest effort. Too Cool Queenie, Black Again, Bi-Polar Bear, Transmissions From A Lonely Room and Wonderful are all classics.

my take

Purple and Tiny = almost brilliant

4 and Shangr = above average

core = average

One of the few bands that got better as they went along.

I agree on Purple, Tiny Music and Shangri. However, I do think Core is slightly better than average (Though nowhere near the masterpiece most people make it out to be), and I find No. 4 very hit or miss. Some of it is awesome; Down, Heaven And Hot Rods, Sour Girl, I Got You, and Atlanta (Atlanta is my favorite STP song next to Seven Caged Tigers). But I find the rest to be really uninspired.

You are right on 4 - It is hit or miss; But when it is great - IT'S GREAT. And to me, that makes up for the filler enough to rate it above average.
