JesusisSavior
Translation......Axl's greatness = long gone.Yeah...you would totally keep saying that if there was a reunion. In an instance where we wouldn't be sayin that would be when Axl has enough sense to made ends meet and get past himself. Don't see that happening anytimes soon, therefore, though greatness is still in him- it's for the most part locked up. Slash/Izzy/Duff/Steven are the keys man. Only through that chemistry do we see the November Rains and Sweet Childs- the full 100% Guns N' RosesWe all know that both axl and slash are great! why all the fighting? Finally some sanity in this world! Exactly. I don't see how Slash making positive comments about Axl turns into a fight between certain members.we're nearly as worse as axl when it comes to looking too deep into matters when all it needs is to be brushed by

BMo13
See, Slashites? Even Slash agrees that Axl's personality is what makes him awesome.WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW.Probably somewhere promoting his new album. Ever see an Axl Fan Boy in person? 100% Grade A "Dork."I saw a picture of Jarmo once. Not a good sign for the rest of them.

LLL
The usual suspects again trying to bash Axl, current GnR and the ones who enjoy what they are doing now...even when their idol Slash said he's fucking great. They actually dared to disagree with their prophet Slash? This is getting ridiculous now, I mean trolling in the lamest way, in every thread. ColdHeartBreaker
Difficult to put into words. Axl and Slash belong together. They were ment to be. Slash seems so much more, whatever the word is, then Axl. it’s a real shame. Axl, the way he its with the current ‘hired hands’ is just so shit.I wouldn't slap together two perfectly capable artists and tell them there's no other way, it's disrespectful to say the least, no? They've both matured, evolved and so forth. Why is it people seem to believe some shiny magical rainbow would appear as soon as Axl and Slash got back together, I'd bet whatever magic was there may not be present after all the years. There was a time, a place etc ... AngelZ
LOL at how people bag on Slash for playing with Fergie, CH, et al. I foget how awesomely super cool Bubbles is, and Bach too of course. Anyways, always good to see the respect Slash and Axl have for each other. . Well, one of them does at least.
3W2.0
Here's the thing. I saw Bret Hart stand in the exact same ring with Vince McMahon. RAGE
Here's the thing. I saw Bret Hart stand in the exact same ring with Vince McMahon. If that can happen, I truly believe anything...any feud...can be shoved under the rug when enough money is placed on the the table.Listen, regardless of the past, Slash knows the talent Axl has as well as Axl knows the talent Slash has. Slash realizes that much of what makes Axl great comes from his extraordinary personality. It is a shame that the old feud cannot be forgotten. I sense that Slash would love to work with Axl again. It would be fucking great. We all know that. Axl is and will most likely always be against it. But the reality of it is it has been 14 years since Slash left the band. Both have moved on and are trying to leave their marks on the music scene the best they can despite knowing that together they could rule the rock n roll world! If Axl disbanded the current line up and reached out to the "Old Guns," it would be off the charts the reception they would receive. It's really all up to Axl in my opinion and as he seems to relay it, he appears quite happy and satisfied with what he has going on with his current line up. Axl has done remarkably well without Slash, but at the end of the day, his prescence is sorely missed by us fans no matter how much time goes by. there is no dana only zool
????? Am I the only one that thinks Slash's "great," "admirable," "respectable" comments were nothing but pure horse shit? I think he says things like this to do nothing more than piss Axl off. After Slash pipes up with his usual "Oh yeah, Axl's great..." comments (that he KNOWS will get some bit of media attention, and thus his comments will eventually get back to Axl) to a large audience, everybody is all surprised and it's not uncommon to hear things afterward like, "Wow, see? Slash really does have respect for Axl. What a class act!" and "See! Axl really needs to move on and forgive..." However, as Axl told us himself, behind closed doors it is a MUCH different story than what everyone is used to. My guess is that to this day, the bullshit lawsuits and time consuming litigation rage on. Slash is probably responsible for Axl having to jump through many hoops to be able to give the concerts that he does, sell the merch that they do, etc. etc. etc. Bottom line: Slash loves to try and piss Axl off by making himself out to be such a saint, when only the opposite is true. I'm sorry, but I see right through Slash.

I'm sorry, but I see right through Slash. You have a great point as there are always two sides to every story. None of us truly knows all of what went on back then. Slash is not a saint by any means. But I would much rather hear him praise his old bandmate as opposed to trash him. What do either really have to gain by trashing one another? The media and fans listen to it and take their respective sides, formulate opinions and so on. I think Slash misses Guns. He should. It's what put him on the map. I'm sorry, but I see right through Slash.Slash said a long time ago he let go of the bitterness and took his share of responsibility for the band breakup. His nice comments about Axl have been consistent for years now. Axl's negative outbursts get a lot more media attention than positive Slash ones. Everyone heard Slash is a cancer, but how many people are going to be talking about how Slash thinks Axl is fucking great? Not exactly headlining news, and if Slash saying nice things about Axl actually pisses him off, then his problems go way deeper than anyone can imagine. Axl wanted the name and is cashing in. Lawsuits are about business, not emotions. Former band members aren't the only ones who have ever slapped Axl with court papers. Blaming them for problems like getting Axl off his ass to tour an album for a 3rd time, a year old album that he didn't bother to promote when it first came out and that took him a decade to make, is reaching for a bunch of excuses. Look, my favorite singer ever, from my favorite band, tells me (us/everyone) in this forum about Slash lying and being very litigious behind the public eye - and I have no reason to disbelieve him. Therefore, I don't think it's a stretch to imagine that all of this "Aw, Axl's great... I've got no ill will toward him" stuff is not genuine and only said to piss Axl off. Quote: "Unbeknown to most people, I was sued again recently by Slash & Duff." (or something like that). So why the fuck would someone who has a lawsuit filed against someone else go off in the press and talk about how great that other person is? Probably (while taking into consideration the history of the axl/slash feud) to make it look like they are taking the "high road." Again, there might be a limit to what can be said publicly of pending or settled or completed lawsuits. So let's imagine Slash is persistent in filing stupid, "frivilous" (i think that word means like, unnecessary or something, right?) lawsuits with the sole intention of running up legal bills and just generally pissing Axl off. Would Axl (or anyone else in his position, for this matter) love to come out and say, "Can you believe what this motherfucker did? He filed a motion to X, because of Y, which happened in 94!" Yes, I'm sure he would, but legally, he probably can't. So what's a good way to keep taking shots at someone about something that you know they can't defend themselves against publicly?
