Argentina Show Rescheduled!

Just for the record, I don't think it's accurate to judge a rock concert's noise effect using a F'ing Coldplay concert.

I think that whole noise thing is gay. What did they expect was going to happen? Isn't it loud at a soccer match?

So did they not sell close to enough tickets so they downsized it?

This wouldn't work unless they sold about 60% or less of the tickets available for a 65,000 seat place.

No, you fuckhead, they had legal problems with the older stadium, the River Plate stadium is too close to other buildings and the music plus the fans cause too much vibration...

If you wanna talk shit about the band then find other reasons, you piece of shit.

dont worry, in argentina we all think the same.. its just the neighbours of the stadium presented a legal case against the stadium holding rock concerts, because thousands of people jumping in the field caused vibrations similar to a very little earthquake

in a soccer match its different because u dont have 40.000 guys jumping up and down against the floor

Haha, somebody seems to be throwing a tantrum because they got their bitch ass handed to them in about 10 seconds in their attempt to hate on Slash thread.

So the show is pretty much off for 20 something thousand people?

mm not really, the promoter stopped selling tickets cause this was something to be expected, still the organization is a disaster

River Plate is listed as SOLD OUT...was it considered sold out at 40,000?

The whole thing makes no fucking sense

The neighbors complained to the government saying each time there is a concert the people jumping provoke vibrations compared to a 4.3 earthquake and the buildings get damaged.

Really, I was there once when the Rolling Stones were playing. I was 15 blocks away from River stadium and you could feel the vibrations. So the justice said the neighbors were right and River Stadium can't host any more concerts from now on

That's the reason why GNRs show was moved to the other stadium. River Plate was sold out, and lots of fans from Argentina were asking for a second date to be added.

Glad to hear about the new date tho, it was impossible for me to travel in March the 20 but I can be there the 22nd! :D

Fuck the neighbors, it's true there are vibrations but I don't think these vibrations will affect the buildings. The justice should have made an exception for the concerts that have already been sold

I really don't understand how the justice works here... they are too slow to resolve crimes but when it's about spoiling people's fun they're fast motherfuckers! :fuckyou:

It seems a bit shady for them to deny use of the stadium at such a late date, this was iffy and should have been announced much sooner.

Some Gvt officials need to be duct taped and thrown in orca tanks.

Exactly, its a VERY long story, dont know if it was commented on this board, but from the beggining there was a big problem with the justice cause the river plate stadium, had been cancelled because of the vibrations caused by concerts in the nearby buildings, the thing is that since last month stadium was closed by the justice, but then it was reopened for a coldplay show because there was the need to have cientific studies about the impact of noises and people jumping on the field.

Sadly this studies went wrong and the stadium was cancelled for rock concerts.

What a shame ... RP stadium is great

i don't get it, whenever River plays, 65000 fans jump and scream all the time for 90 minutes straight, how is that any different?

not as if the surface was plastiline, is it?

They only jump when RiverPlate scores a goal which doesn't happen too often haha :P

Seriously.. I don't understand why the promoter has accepted that. He should have requested the Justice to allow GNRs show that is already sold out and threaten to fucking sue the Municipality for causing trouble to the people that have already bought the tickets, ask them to refund the fans the money they have already spent in flights and hotels to be there in March the 20. By rescheduling and moving the show there is more damage caused to the fans than to the fucking whining neighbors.

Just read the newspapers and found out the reason why the promoter has accepted the show to be rescheduled and didn't complain about it. Link here

Basically the article says the promoter "Time 4 Fun" was requested by the city's govt to make a mitigation plan to avoid the vibrations, but they didn't have time to make the plan yet, so they decided to move the show to another stadium.

Tickets for the field do not need to be changed, but some of the seats do. They are offering people to change their tickets or ask for a refund in a couple specific places. That's fucking annoying!

Once they make the "mitigation plan" they will be allowed to use River Plate for future concerts.

So IMO it's the promoter the one who should refund the fans plane tickets/ hotels. Of course they didn't threaten to sue the city's govt because they want to continue using River for future events.

Who are these guys "Time 4 Fun"? Never heard about them before...

The title of the note is "Guns have postponed the show..." then in the body of the note they explain what I wrote above. But the title is WRONG because Guns N Roses haven't postponed anything.

Most of the South American promoters SUCK, what happened here was so unprofessional. Fuck Time 4 Fun, whoever they are :fuckyou:
