Top-grosser was Estádio Palestra Italia in São Paulo (March 13) with $3 million earned at the box office and 34,872 in attendance. Another stadium date, Estadio Vélez Sársfield in Buenos Aires on March 22 drew over 35,000 fans. The five reported March dates on the band's Chinese Democracy World Tour grossed a combined total of $8.4 million.

BMo13
Cool. These will be there biggest shows though. Also, I never really have understood how Billboard can claim what a band's actual monetary take is though. How do they know the contractual details with promoters?Edit: Nevermind, that's the total take, not the bands take. brazil66
sweet! i hope this means another tour next year? u know, they could add at least 1-2 more dates in each country for sure in this tour... well... lets wait for the next ^^With these numbers and generally positive returns and great fan interaction in South and Central America I can see GNR returning again in 2011. It will be interesting to see out of the 17 dates in SA and CA what was totally grossed. We still have Europe to go this summer and who knows after that. Well done, great news. Rovim
Great news! Axl can still draw big crowds, at least in south america, but with the line up he's got now, which is more 'rock n' roll', I won't be surprised if Guns will draw big crowds also in other parts of the world. Great time to be a Gn'R fan!

kyrie
I honestly think that GN'R should tour the FUCK out of Europe this summer. UK & Mainland. Do shows in the eastern countries they haven't been to, and do two Russian shows if possible - Moscow and St. Petersberg.Hit the UK with some smaller solo gigs in addition to the big Reading and Leeds shows.Hit Ireland and Scotland.France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Findland, Denmark, Serbia, Poland, everywhere else I'm missing. Play two or three shows in any country that can handle it. I mean really, with the awesome reviews/word of mouth this tour has been getting, now is really the time to play the FUCK out of the album and really expose the band. Do the same in Australia, hit South Africa, and I've said this before - head back to Japan and tour the FUCK out of it. It's got a ton of large cities where you could pull in 15,000+ and they love the band there, hell they love concerts period. You might do that after U.S. shows - finish the tour in Asia after starting there. And then - 2nd leg after a layoff of a few months? Or back in the studio? Who knows...but honestly. I've been fucking pumped since December 2009 and this tour has been getting better and better.
